The Advisory Board brings together distinguished leaders and internationally recognised experts whose experience informs strategic thinking on energy security, resilience, regional cooperation and sustainable development. Members serve in an advisory capacity and contribute their expertise independently.

Boris Tadić
Boris Tadić served as President of Serbia from 2004 to 2012, championing the country’s European Union integration and pursuing regional reconciliation across the former Yugoslavia. He previously served as Serbia’s Minister of Defence and, before that, as Minister of Telecommunications.

Council Members
Yves Leterme
Yves Leterme served as Prime Minister of Belgium (2008; 2009 to 2011) and Minister-President of Flanders (2004 to 2007), leading the country through a period of significant constitutional reform. He later held senior international roles, including Deputy Secretary-General of the OECD and Secretary-General of International IDEA.

Petar Stoyanov
Petar Stoyanov served as President of Bulgaria from 1997 to 2002, a period in which the country advanced substantially toward NATO membership and European Union accession. A lawyer by training, he was the first Bulgarian head of state with no ties to the former Communist Party.

Werner Faymann
Werner Faymann served as Chancellor of Austria from 2008 to 2016, leading a coalition government through the 2008 financial crisis and Europe’s migration crisis. He previously served as Austria’s Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology.

Petre Roman
Petre Roman served as Romania’s first post-communist Prime Minister from 1989 to 1991, leading the country’s early transition away from the socialist system. He later served as President of the Senate and as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
